At Central Victorian Hand Therapy, our qualified hand therapists are here to help you overcome and recover to achieve the best possible outcome after any hand, wrist, or elbow condition. We will undertake a comprehensive assessment of your injury or condition, and work with you to design the optimal treatment plan to allow you to achieve your rehabilitation goals. Treatment could include exercises to improve joint stiffness or build strength, or a custom made orthosis to help support or repair damaged tissues.
We work closely with a range of professionals both locally and in Melbourne to ensure a coordinated and seamless rehabilitation journey.
What is a Hand Therapist?
Hand therapists are physiotherapists / occupational therapists who have specific training & qualifications in treating conditions & injuries of the upper limb - including hands, wrists, forearms, elbows and shoulders.
At Central Victorian Hand Therapy, our highly trained and experienced hand therapists regularly attend professional development events including conferences and workshops, and have presented at a state and national level. All of our hand therapists are Accredited Hand Therapists (as awarded by the AHTA) or Associate Members of the AHTA.
